Please make every effort to ensure that your child arrives at school NO LATER THAN 7:55 AM EVERY DAY. School begins at 7:55 and your child is considered tardy if he/she walks in the door after 7:55. The front office lets us know about any accident and weather-related tardies which are to be excused. -MANY STUDENTS STILL DO NOT HAVE GLUE, SCISSORS, AND PENCILS. These are required supplies for 4th grade. Please make sure your child has these supplies DAILY. If you are unable to acquire supplies for your child, please let Mrs. Ingram (counselor) or your child’s homeroom teacher know so we can help get your child the supplies he/she needs to be successful at school. Beginning the week of Sept. 2, if your child does not have the supplies he/she needs for each class, a check may be issued for failure to “Be Prepared.” -Please be advised that bus passes will no longer be issued to allow students to "jump buses". Bus passes will only be distributed to students who are new to Hesse and are not in First Student's data base or for emergency purposes which will be evaluated on a case by case basis. -Sign up for homeroom text message (or email) updates from Mrs. Buck!! If you choose to sign up, you'll receive occasional text messages from me (or emails if you choose) reminding you about important dates, school notices, etc! The REMIND program (www.remind.com) provides this text message service free of charge (don't forget that your phone carrier's text message charges will still apply though) and keeps all phone numbers private, meaning you won't see my phone number, and I won't see your phone number. COOL! :) To receive Mrs. Buck's homeroom text messages... text: @buckhr to (615) 454-9173 or visit: https://www.remind.com/join/buckhr -If your child is out of school for any reason, PLEASE remember to send in a note stating why your child was out. The school must have documentation of why your child was out of school. Only five (5) excused/unexcused absences are allowed per school year. -Don't forget to send a note with your child if his/her dismissal method will be different than usual... this is a safety issue! Thanks :) -Wednesday Folders (also known as the green "Communication Folders") are due back EVERY FRIDAY! Please sign and return any papers that are stamped "Sign and Return" by Friday of each week. Thank you! |
